XD So I went up to visit for Halloween and had a kick ass time. Her college's theater company did Sweeney Todd, and on Halloween we went to go see Paranormal Activities. That was either the best movie ever, if you considered it a comedy, or the worst movie ever if you seriously considered it horror. So. Fucking. Cheesy. I was really disappointed, since so many people told me they'd pissed themselves watching it and had nightmares for weeks. The only nightmarish thing about the movie was its lack of scaryness! They could've done so much more with it, so I had that kind of "that's it?" feeling at the end of the movie. The best damn part of the whole thing was when I screamed "IT'S A TRAP!" in the middle of the movie and got a bunch of people to laugh. XD Yeah, so Halloween itself kicked ass. I dressed up as 2D , and Lindsay went as Lydia from Beetlejuice. I tried to help her dye her hair black, but ended up failing, so we just went to an actual hair salon and I ended up forgetting to tip the lady. I feel bad and am probably taking karma points for it. I had a hell of a time getting up to Lindsay's college in the first place! 4 different people told me they could give me a ride up there, and they all ditched me at one point or another. Eventually my friend Mallory felt so bad for me, she agreed to drive me up if I paid for gas. I got a bus ticket back home and DAMN was that a strange trip! I ended up waiting in Harrisburg for a few hours to get transferred, and saw a dude nearly punch one of the terminal directors, and a chick getting caught snorting coke in the bathroom. XD Gotta love public transit. I also ended up getting pretty sick, probably from all the grungey people I was sitting around. Made it home safe though, albeit a little worse for the wear. Next time she's coming down here, dammit. Last weekend was Zenkaicon, which also kicked ass, but not as much as animenext did. We stayed at my friend Brad's house, since he lives right down the street from there. I once again went as 2D, Brad was Ikuto something something, Marcus was Ash Ketchum, Zach was the random "Shady Guy #3", and Romy just decided to go as herself. I actually ended up dyeing my hair blue for the con, instead of using hairspray like at Halloween. I guess I don't look bad as a bluenette. I just wish it'd wash out already, since it's starting to fade kinda greenish. Plus now everyone knows which shower I use, cause it's full of little blue hairballs. XD We ended up having to save 's ass cause she got lost in the middle of nowhere walking from Philly! I felt horrible for her, especially since they ran out of tickets for Saturday, so she couldn't get in till Sunday. The con itself was EXTREMELY packed, and kinda poorly organized to be honest. I knew it wasn't going to be as big as animenext, but it was still a little messy. The masquerade was shit except for Uncle Yo in a Sailor Scout uniform, and three little girls gressed as bunnies and kitties singing their asses off in Japanese. I met who is a sneeky little devil for outbidding Airvee for a pair of Yoshi slippers, then selling them to her for a comission. Smooth move, man! About halfway through Saturday we went to the mall for lunch, and got quite a few lovely stares. XD Ash/Marcus got mobbed by fangirls, even outside of the con! I think a total of 5 or 6 people got who I was. 2D gets no love. Later for dinner we went to a hibachi restaurant, where I got "mugged," then "hit by a car". I think there's still a handprint on Brad's windshield. After dinner we went back to the con for the Geek Comedy Tour and a lovely lovely hentai panel. OMFG, SHE GOT FUCKED BY THE UNIVERSE! XD I guess that was the zenkaicon equivalent of the "corn incident" at animenext. Sunday was nice, bought some swag in the dealer's room and actually got glomped by my one and only fangirl. XD Hung out with Airvee some more, and then we left to go home. We had to leave the convention a little early so we could get back in time for D and D club... Wow, I think that was the nerdiest thing I've ever said. o_O Yeah, so we all ended up playing Dungeons and Dragons in our cosplays, and I freaked the shit out of my poor roomate when I finally came back. XD I'm not sure what was weirdest, the blue hair, the missing front teeth, or the fake hickie on my neck. Yeah, so overall the past few weeks have been pretty damn good, except for all the bigass tests in school and getting sick. Just keep it chilly, cos everything's cool.
